There is something so mystical about a landscape cloaked in mist. You can just make out blurred shapes that tantalise the imagination, but what is there? What does it hide?

This painting asks that question as you let your eye wander through its deep valleys and tree lined mountains,  as you follow the river

This was one from my imagination. I had been watching 'Lord of the Rings, (yes I am a humongous fan  of Tolkien and the films)  and wanted to paint a landscape that you could,  get lost in and maybe come across a tree Ent or elf or Hobbit or too.

I started with a loose idea of the  finished result and waited to see where it would take me. Its dark and brooding and magical. I just love it. I hope you do too.
